Gab, to create the archive.php file, just copy everything from your index.php file into a new file called “archive.php”. Then find the “php the_content” tag I referenced above and replace it with “php the_excerpt”.

Does that make sense?

Then you can copy your new archive.php file to create a search.php file, if your theme didn’t include one.
