Wordpress and widgets
You may have noticed a new theme around here. And that the comments are now open. And the posts are now Technorati-tagged.
What you can’t see is how brief the code is now - which means the search engine bots have less scenery to chew and more content to feast on. This was achieved mainly through the use of “widgets” that the theme designer used - I still don’t quite understand them, but they seem to invoke entire functions in one line of code. Bottom line: the theme files are short and sweet, and that’s good for SEO.
